CAN I EXPORT MY FAX COVER SHEET INTO THE ACTIVEFAX COVER PAGE DESIGNER AND HAVE THAT AS MY STANDARD COVER PAGE?

A:
If you need to import an existing cover page (i.e. in Winword format), this would be possible with a small trick when you print the document to the ActiveFax printer and export the document with the fax client. For example to use a Word document as a cover page, follow these steps:

1) Print the Word document to the ActiveFax printer (you do not need to enter a recipient)
2) Open the document in the fax client and export it to a .bmp file (menu File / Export / To File)
3) Go to the Cover Page Designer on the fax server and add that .bmp file to the overlay

To avoid that the fax title is displayed at the top of the exported bitmap, you can either disable that with the menu Extras / Options / Fax Title before you export the document to a .bmp file or you can modify the .bmp file with a graphics program.

To set the cover page as the default cover page, go to the menu Extras / Predefined Settings or Extras / User Administrator / Modify / Predefined Settings.
