August 19th, 2005
Businesses don’t always have truck loads of printing projects to print. On the contrary they often just have a handful of documents to print. In the past, printing technologies requires a specific number of printing documents since it makes use of screens and plates but with the advent of digital printing everything has change.
Digital printing has made printing of small quantities possible. Aside from that, the digital printing technology has also opened up the option of printing glossy, full-color and graphic laden print outputs not only in an affordable price but also print this array of printed outputs at small quantities. Now, that’s something only digital printing is capable of doing.
The traditional way of printing requires the expertise of a graphic designer to conceptualize the file on the computer. The next step involves the conversion of the file into a film negative which will then be used by a press operator. The press operator will manually set up and configure the printing press. All this setting up takes a lot of time and also makes use of a lot of material. All the cost incurred are then added up on the price of the printed outputs that is why it is very costly to have documents printed.
Digital printing has changed all that. Digital printing has revolutionized the printing industry in such a way that printing has become more affordable and more flexible. Digital printing has made printing better and faster. And also it has also created printing into a less laborious job.
